Position Summary:
Schwickert’s Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service/Install Technician are individuals who are skilled and wanting to grow within their career. This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC-R systems.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • HVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
  • Installation of commercial HVAC-R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start up.
  •  Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
  • On Call duties as required.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
  • Ability to learn and take direction from crew Foreman
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
  • NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
  • No fear of heights
  • Lift 50+ lbs
  • Sit, stand, and climb stairs
  • On the job training is provided

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires pre-employment screening which includes drug screening, criminal background check, and DMV check.
